Madrid nights are to be enjoyed at the terraces, not doing the next day meal. All working girls at Almagro know that and pilgrimage to this small fast good local to their daily ration of healthy food. Quinoa salads, cold creams, cold pressed juices and desserts like chia Pudding with pure cocoa are the guarantee of a healthy and complete meal. All served in glass jars to preserve their properties, and when your return ten bottles they give you a bag of organic chocolate.

Cleas
I confess that I like Fernando VI Street a lot, but it’s an area that I love. If I ‘m in a hurry (as usual) and in the area, I always buy the food at Cleas. The place is long and narrow, just to ask your commands and follow your way. The offer is wide with very tasty recipes: sandwiches, salads and woks that now also be enjoyed at night; I already know you want to take advantage of your time after work.

Vegaviana
Some time ago I knew this restaurant at Chueca where you can eat vegetarian dishes with good raw material. The place is traditional and no frills, but the food is homemade, whatwver you eat meat or not. Their food is simple and tasty and daily menu reconciles you with the vegetables if you are someone who has trouble with them: it’s good value for money, pizza, cannelloni most days and a wonderful cheesecake.

There’s also a market for take with you natural products to make your own recipes. Watch out with the brunch, I’ve seen pictures with an incredible appearance…

One of my latest discoveries in the vicinity of Olavide Square is Biococina Organic. It’s one of the few macrobiotic restaurants of Madrid with professionals. The owners are specialized therapists and designe menus with all the necessary nutrients properly balanced and gluten free. You can also ask them any questions you have; sure they can give you some useful advice.

Lolo Polos
If we talk about keeping cool, nothing like a good ice pop. Lolo ones are made with lots of fruit, without preservatives or colorings and with water just to freeze the mixture. I like them because they’re very creamy and not thaw quickly. My super favorite is Chocolate and banana. All are gluten free and almost all lactose free.

As you can see, there’re many light meals, tasty and nutritious for summer options. If you want to eat a “zapatilla” of Melo’s or “pincho de tortilla” of Sylkar, go ahead. But if you opt for something cooler, here you have my 7 favorites!
