Malasaña is constantly renewing itself to offer the most cutting-edge trends, and all of them are in El Paracaidista. Very few people knows for now. If you read it, you ‘ll realize that today is a #chivatazoMCB. It’s a two minute walk from Tribunal subway station in a renovated palace, of those we love in Madrid Cool Blog. There are so many things to do in El Paracaidista so occupies four floors, terrace and the basement.
Just across the entrance of this beautiful building (home of Casa Decor in its last edition) it’s important to read the directory. At the street level is the Nordic cafeteria ” Newsroom”, with a selection of magazines of art and design that will make you put the batteries in deco stuff. On the 1st floor (and soon in the 2nd) is the area of shopping, with a bit of everything one might need: clothing, accessories, housewares, furniture, cosmetics, music, books or skate boards. Come on, that will not do need to go anywhere else to catch up and find everything you need.
The way to purchase products is very novel and practice because they have thought every detail to make your shopping experience as comfortable as possible. Before living in Madrid, I often came to spend the day or a weekend. Sometimes I like something but I thought I didn’t want to carry the bags all day, so “I’ll buy tomorrow on the internet”. Error. I have never done. El Paracaidista has found the perfect solution: you can buy whatever you want in situ and receive comfortably at home in a few days. Just walk its spacious rooms, purchased through the App or any of the tablets of their dependents, and go to “burn Madrid” without lugging.
In fact you can start right there. You have several options depending on the plan (or hungry) you have. If you have time for cocktails , Cubanismo will take you to the Caribbean, whether you drink the cocktail in one of the leather sofas inside, as if you choose to do it sprawled in a wicker chair on the terrace. If you are hungry go to the top at Parq, a restaurant with (another) terrace where informally eating pizzas or salads. It also offers free wifi, so if you want to take the laptop to work there, you will not be the first that comes up with this idea…
They have created in the basement a very special place: Movie Club, a small cinema with spacious seats recovered from a local old cinema that will make you enjoy the seventh Art with all comforts. I mean you can see the movie with popcorn, but also with an aperitif or cocktail if you prefer. Meets golden dream of moviegoers with classic, independent and auteur cinema, and also with the little kids with its film series for all audiences.
