You pass under the bridge of Juan Bravo, leaving aside the Museum of Outdoor Sculpture of La Castellana, and passing Lateral’s terrace, appears Marieta facade, that hides much more than it seems. Inside, young workers in suits of the surroundings, groups of friends gathering to eat and all possible combinations.
It’s so big that there’re 4 distinct areas: entrance hall, corridor, dinning room and terrace. The tables at the entrance are the most exposed to the outside, and therefore also have the greatest amount of natural light.
After that we find the corridor, which really is an area with tall tables for couples where sniffing around the dishes prepared in the kitchen (perfect for foodies or those who are just gossip …) The room has tables both for couples, groups and end the terrace, preferred by smokers.
We didn’t decide between two starters, so we ordered half portion of each . Half portion of oxtail croquettes and a half one of eggplant, honey and hummus. The croquettes are a perfect spherical appearance, but inside are like Grandma’s.
Very elaborated mass and frayed meat with a powerful flavor. Eggplants were very crispy, but the hummus was wiped clean. Here are the main ones: tuna tatar with wakame seaweed, beef tataki and Pizza dried tomatoes. Cool and healthy, tartar disappeared at the moment. The tataki, which with the tartar are two preparations we love, arrived perfect and our favorite salt point. When we got the pizza our forces were weak, but what a pizza: thin and crispy, with goat cheese and caramelized onion. Many Italians have to learn about their pizza. In short, this time there was no dessert…
They detail put a jar of cold tap water and put it as often as necessary, although its great wine and cocktails menu worthing a look. Also, for those who have not quit of smoking, the terrace is a good option to enjoy this restaurant wuth the vice.
