If you don’t want to suffer the syndrome of yellow jacket of Zara, take note. Very close to San Ildefonso Square it’s one of the few places in Madrid where you can find Scandinavian clothes: LeCircus . A lot of brands of northern Europe and very selected Spanish firms are its two main hallmarks.
I know Corredera Baja de San Pablo (and its surroundings) is famous for being one of the most funny areas of Madrid. It’s full of places to get take-away food to eat, as The Big Banh, bars for a drink, very cute cafes as Vacaciones and terraces where ever there is no seat (or at least I have never gotten L ).
You may not know that you can also find this store with exclusive brands. The good news is that the exclusivity doesn’t translate into ” that-shirt-that-costs-what-you-win-on-a-month” but that the owners care what they bring from their trips abroad and selected Spanish brands.
When I speak of the owners I mean Maria and Alvaro, two ex-publicists that began their aventure in the garden of Federica & Co and now they have managed to open their own space in Malasaña. The place oozes personality on all four sides. The graffit painted fence, the large window display and the gold letters will receive you.
The interior is designed to keep you at your leisure . The garments are arranged on curious hangers: wooden lighting bars hung from the ceiling. Ins can be found either in a low furniture or distributed in some strategically placed shelves.
You can look calmly what you’re interested without having to be aware of to turning and throwing anything. It works as a old store, where you are personally attend. You choose the garment you like they bring you your size.
And here comes the problem: choosing. As I said, they’re specialized in Nordic style, you can find Norwegian firms, Swedish ones, Danish ones … Perhaps you’ll realize you don’t know how you ever lived without a pair of Swedish jeans of Dr.Denim a Danish summer dress of Numph or a skirt of my beloved palm print of Soft Rebels.
I certainly know where I’ll go when I have to make a gift I know it’s a style they have in few places, at least with a price I can afford. The trouble is there’s no men clothes, but surely if many encourage us to ask , we got
If you’re tired of seeing everywhere the same clothes and you want to get out of the mainstream, this is #chivatazoMCB to find stylish garments. You know I usually invite you to share what I discover with your friends, but maybe in this case you should keep the secret…
