I confess, blogger ‘s life isn’t so bad. It has occasional dark side (bikini operation is harder than usual ;-)) but receive surprises like today. When they called me I couldn’t believe: a new short film of Javier Fesser? Of course!
I knew Dr. Steam knew of other occasions. As a good “cool hunter”, I couldn’t pass up a bar with its own screening room. Just as your heard it, a bar with a cinema at Antón Martín. This place was chosen to present “17 años juntos” the new short film of Javier Fesser, director of blockbusters such as El Milagro de P.Tinto or Camino. He told us about his motivations for filmmaking and how he likes leaving his comfort zone and face new challenges. In this case, it was ING who took the initiative: they wanted to celebrate its 17th anniversary in a special way and Javier have decided to make this gift to their customers.

ING often proposes very cool things and Javier lived up to the challenge filming in two days with more than half of inexperienced actors, making the casting at the street. He’s a director who I like a lot because he knows telling serious things through humor.
I guess it’s not easy to find the balance between laughs and tears, but he gets it. In “17 años juntos” the director relates about the life of four people: a couple who live with another that serves them with household chores. As often happens in good stories nothing is what it seems, but in the end it all makes sense. I don’t want to spoiler, but if you have curiosity, check out the trailer.
And if what caught your attention is Dr. Steam: July and August are scheduled Deadpool , Fargo, Trainspotting and Trumbo. All in V.O.S.E. You can enjoy it alone but the whole room can also be rented for your own session. Its 10 seats of comfortable sofas are for a children’s party with snack including that for private screenings or presentations as short film of Javier. I’ll take a look at their schedule and I’ll escape of the summer heat there. And when sun falls, I’ll do “terracing”
