If you have a little time at noon, but didn’t want to give up eating well, Magasand is the perfect choice if you walk through the Salamanca district.
Its speciality sandwiches, for sure, are nothing related to those triangular slice bread only filled suspiciously just in the center …
In its menu you’ll find all kinds of breads (bagels, poppy and onion, cereal …) combined with ingredients and diverse sauces. Although you can have a look at the bar and combine them to your liking, it’s best to go with the suggestions in the menu.
We were seduced by the «Nomanches chicken» sandwich (chicken in chipotle sauce, havarty cheese, avocado, tomato, spinach and bread polar) and «Manhattan Raban» (a pastrami bagel, goat cheese, horseradish sauce, onions caramelized and lettuce). All filling enough to recover energy and face a tough afternoon shopping …. however, if you think it’s too short, you can add to the order one of their salads with the most colorful names.
Ah! And if you can’t have lunch in good company, next to the tables you’ll find a great selection of art magazines, architecture, fashion and design that you can read or buy it and take home. The perfect complement for a cup of coffee (very good, by the way) with freshly baked pastries to the snack time.
